i have no idea how realistic of a prospect this is, but it's scary, and i haven't heard much in the way of press coverage.

Don't be fooled. Web sites like "Hands Off The Internet" are industry front groups (funded by AT&T, Verizon, BellSouth) designed to mislead people about the "net neutrality" debate.

hmm...people are wily indeed. without reading much it seems as though the two sites are advocating the same thing.
